Would you like to find out what it means to be a Local Government Councillor? Are you interested in running in the October 2016 Council elections?

Come along to our information session on Monday August 24th at 7pm to find out more. This will be run by 2 current Greens councillors, Erin Davie from Stonnington and Thomas Souness from Glen Eira.

Preselections for various councils will be opening over the next few months. Stonnington is opening on 27th August and closing on 11th September.

This event is open to any Greens member (around the Southern Metro region) so feel free to forward on.

Movie Night 28th August Classic Cinema Elsternwick


Following the great success of our last movie night we are planning another get together for wine, cheese, good company and a great movie. holding _the_man

Described by Margaret Pomeranz as “a moving, wonderful film about a grand and enduring love story,” Holding the Man is one of the most anticipated Australian films of the year. Based on the real-life romance between John Caleo and Tim Conigrave, it traces their 15-year relationship from the time they met in high school, through their years at Monash University, until 1992.

WHERE: Classic Cinema, 9 Gordon Street, Elsternwick

 TIME:  6:00 pm for pre-dinner drinks. The movie will commence between 6:30pm and 7:00pm.

TICKETS: $32, $26 (concession), $22 (child to age 15). Cheese and biscuits, dips and a glass of bubbly or wine are included in the price.
